June 21st 2026 - Reepham
Yesterday’s match at Reepham was held under pleasant conditions, with a bright but not overly sunny morning providing a comfortable temperature for fishing. From the outset, it was clear we were in for a busy day, with bites coming steadily and most anglers catching consistently throughout the match.
One standout performance came from “Stan the Man,” who managed to find a better stamp of fish than the rest of the field. Aside from that, it was an extremely tight contest, with just 3lb 7oz separating second through to fifth place.
A total of 9 anglers fished, producing an impressive combined weight of 642lb 6oz.

Today's match at Swanton took place under cloudy skies with a pleasant starting temperature of around 12°C. Expectations were cautiously optimistic, with hopes of a few fish showing, but the day proved challenging for most of the field.
Only the top two anglers managed to reach double figures. The winner secured victory with a productive spell during the middle of the match, while the runner-up left it late, putting together a strong finish towards the end. In total, 11 anglers fished, producing a combined weight of 86lb 15oz.

Today’s match at Swanton began under cloudy skies, with a pleasant temperature of around 14°C and a light breeze. The fishing started slowly for most anglers, with bites few and far between. Kevin was the early exception, landing four bream and a roach within the first hour to take an early lead. Elsewhere, only the odd bream was being caught, and it proved to be a patient day for the majority. It turned into a tight contest by the weigh-in, with just 11oz separating first and second place, highlighting how closely fought the match was.

May 31st 2026 - Wicklewood
Sunday’s match at Wicklewood saw a noticeable improvement in conditions compared to the previous week, with cooler temperatures settling around a comfortable 20°C. At the start, most anglers were into fish early on, although the sport was steady rather than hectic. The fish appeared a little cautious, possibly still affected by spawning behaviour, which made bites less consistent. As the match progressed, a few larger fish began to show, boosting weights across the lake. The more consistent pegs—those that have produced well in recent matches—once again proved reliable, and it was from these areas that the top weights were recorded.

The weather was overcast but not too cold, with just a gentle breeze—ideal conditions and we were hopeful of a few bites. There were some tench and bream caught in the first hour, but sport soon slowed across the lake. The two fancied pegs continued to produce fish steadily, while for the rest it proved to be a quieter day with limited action. It turned into a very tight match, with little separating the top two, and it was equally close between third and fourth place. Seven anglers fished, with a total weight of 110lb 7oz.

May 10th 2026 - Swanton, Willow
Today’s match at Swanton was a much colder affair, with temperatures dropping by around 7 degrees compared to Saturday, along with a biting north-easterly wind—never ideal conditions for fishing. We pegged with the wind at our backs to make things a bit more comfortable. The match started steadily for Steve, with two fish in the first 40 minutes, but bites soon dried up and it became very quiet across the lake. Most anglers struggled early on, with very little showing. As the match progressed, a few bream began to appear, particularly in the final hour, which proved decisive. The eventual winner timed it perfectly, landing five fish late on to secure the win. Seven anglers fished in total, with a combined weight of 91lb 4oz.

Sunday’s match at Wicklewood saw a welcome change in the weather, with bright sunshine throughout the day. Expectations were high, and the match got off to a steady start with everyone finding a few fish early on. Action remained consistent across the pegs, with all anglers catching steadily. However, the larger fish proved more elusive and were mainly concentrated in just one peg, making a significant difference to the final standings. In total, five anglers weighed in a combined 223 lb 8 oz, reflecting a productive day overall with plenty of bites to keep everyone busy.

Results from Sunday’s match at Wicklewood saw slightly cooler conditions, but overall not too bad for fishing. There were fish being caught from the start, with most anglers catching short on the pole. Interestingly, the usual favoured pegs didn’t produce quite as well as expected, with fewer of the bigger carp showing up on the day. It turned into a match where keeping fish coming steadily was key.A consistent approach of regularly putting fish in the net proved to be the winning formula on the day. In total, five anglers fished, with a combined weight of 204 lb 2 oz.

Today’s match at Swanton followed a now familiar pattern, with another windy day making conditions far from ideal. The start was very slow, with little action for the first three hours before a few bream began to show on the favoured pegs that have been producing in recent matches.
As the day developed, it turned into a close contest between the Rackham brothers, who battled it out for top spot in a tight finish.

It was a typical match day at Wicklewood — windy and cold, especially if you were on the wrong side of the lake. From the start, everyone was getting a few bites, but it was clear the fish were concentrated up at the far end and around the island. No surprise then that Richard, our club’s “feeder master,” began catching steadily on the tip. The rest of us knew we were in trouble! It turned into a tight finish, though, with Stan making a strong late run, just missing out at the end. A big well done to Aubrey, who battled the worst of the wind and still fished an excellent match under tough conditions.Six anglers took part, landing a very respectable total weight of 248 lbs 10 ozs. Thanks again to everyone for your continued support — much appreciated!

Today’s match at Swanton began with a cold and frosty start, and once the wind picked up it felt more like winter than spring. We weren’t sure how the fishing would go, but a couple of fish came out in the first few hours and that steady pace continued for the rest of the match. It turned out to be a very close contest — with only a small margin between 1st and 2nd, and between 3rd and 4th as well. Four anglers fished, recording a total combined weight of 47 lbs 14 ozs.

It was a cloudy day with a cool breeze for today’s match at Swanton. The session started as usual — quite slow, with hardly any bites at first. Eventually, a couple of bream were caught, but overall the fishing remained steady rather than busy for the rest of the match. Despite the slow pace, it turned out to be a very close contest, just the kind we like! Four anglers fished, recording a total combined weight of 35 lbs 9 ozs.

The match began under overcast skies with a fresh wind blowing across the lake. As expected, the fishing started slowly, with only a couple of roach showing early on the feeder. I was first to find a bit of luck, landing a bream, but soon after the bream made their way over to Richard’s peg — and that’s where the match was mostly decided. The fishing stayed tough for everyone, with very few bites throughout. A nice tench was caught in the last 15 minutes, which turned out to be that angler’s only bite of the day. Two anglers unfortunately blanked, while two others managed a pair of roach each. In total, eight anglers fished for a combined weight of 33 lbs 7 oz.

The match began steadily, with everyone catching a few fish early on. That steady pace continued throughout, and once again the in-form peg produced the winning weight. It proved to be a very close contest overall, with six anglers weighing in a combined total of 150 lbs 12 oz.

It was a very cold day at Wicklewood, with a biting easterly wind making conditions tough for everyone. The fishing started slowly for most, except for the angler in the in-form peg 13, who was catching steadily from the off. From that point, it was clear where the top spot would go, and the rest of the field were left competing for the minor places. Despite the challenging conditions, it turned into a close contest behind the winner.

Sunday’s match at Wicklewood began with a bit of rain, but the weather soon cleared up into a mild, pleasant day — perfect conditions for a good day’s fishing. The match started steadily, with everyone catching a few carp early on. The bites came in bursts — you’d land one or two fish, then experience a quiet spell before the next flurry of action. Most of the carp caught weighed around 3 lbs, with very few smaller fish showing an interest. As expected, the peg we tipped to do well didn’t disappoint. Sunday’s match at Swanton was windy but dry. We decided to fish with the wind at our backs for a bit of comfort. After a slow start, a tench was the first fish landed, followed soon after by a bream. Someone else managed a roach while most anglers were still scratching for a bite.
Then the fish turned up for 'super' Richard Rackham—and that was game over! It proved to be a very tough match overall, with four blanks and only three anglers managing to catch.

Sunday’s match at Wicklewood started dry, though rain was forecast for 11:30—and it arrived right on time, staying with us for the rest of the session. Despite the wet conditions, the fish were still willing to feed, and everyone managed to catch a few.
Andy drew the same peg as in the previous match and caught steadily throughout. Steve was also catching, though not quite as quickly. In the end, it turned out to be a close contest, where just one or two bonus fish could have made the difference.
Five anglers fished, recording a total combined weight of 113 lbs. All in all, it was another enjoyable day’s fishing at Wicklewood, with everyone getting a few bites.

Sunday’s match at Wicklewood began under damp conditions, with persistent drizzle making for a soggy start. After a week of sharp frosts followed by heavy rain, most anglers were expecting a slow day on the bank — and early signs suggested just that. However, as the match settled in, a few pegs started to show steady action.
Bites were far from frantic, but a handful of anglers managed to keep fish coming at a consistent pace throughout the day. Interestingly, the fish once again seemed to favour the same pegs that have been producing in recent weeks, proving those spots continue to hold a better concentration of fish.
At the final whistle, the seven anglers who took part had recorded a combined total weight of 140 lb 8 oz, showing that despite the tricky conditions, there were still quality nets to be had for those able to keep the bites coming.

Sunday’s match at Swanton began under a thick morning fog with temperatures around 7°C — not the most promising conditions and likely to mean a slow start. That proved true, as the fishing was tough for everyone early on, with very little activity on most pegs.
I managed to hook a roach, but just as I was bringing it in, a hungry pike intervened and took it — a frustrating start! By midday, a couple of anglers had managed to land a few bream, but overall, the pace didn’t pick up and remained slow throughout the remainder of the match.
In total, nine anglers fished, weighing in a combined total of 58 lbs 15 ozs. Despite the challenging conditions, it was still an enjoyable day on the bank, with good company and plenty of perseverance on show.

Conditions at Wicklewood were fairly kind, with cloudy skies, no wind, and a steady temperature of around 10°C — ideal for another enjoyable match. From the off, fish were being caught steadily, mostly small F1s. After about an hour and a half, a few larger carp began to come out, and the competition soon tightened.
Paul, fishing from peg 2, found some quality carp in the margins and put together a strong run. Stan, on peg 9, also connected with several good carp, keeping the pressure on. Across the rest of the field, anglers were close on weight — just one or two better fish could move you several places up the leaderboard.
In the end, it was another excellent match at Wicklewood, with very close results. From third to fifth place there was only a 4 lb difference — roughly one decent carp. The eight anglers combined for an impressive total weight of 431 lbs 6 ozs.
Congratulations to Paul on both his well-earned win and the exciting news that he’ll be becoming a grandad on Sunday! Thanks to everyone for your continued support of the matches.

Results from yesterday’s match at Wicklewood:
The temperature was a cool 9 degrees and not too windy. Fish were being caught from the start, which was a good sign. Some anglers were catching carp on the feeder, while others fished shorter lines and caught a variety of species.
Mark, on peg 16, fished at 12 metres and landed some bigger carp on the bottom using hard pellet. Richard, known as “the feeder king,” stuck to his favourite method on peg 13 and caught well. I was catching steadily on a top kit and in the margins from peg 4, and Stan was doing the same.
It turned into a really good match, with weights very close across the board. A total of 10 anglers fished, recording an impressive combined weight of 422 lbs 2 oz.
Thanks to everyone who took part and for your continued support, especially Tony, Paul, and Kevin, who travel a long way to fish these matches.

Results from Sunday’s match at Wicklewood. The weather was nice and bright, and I was hoping the rain would hold off. I brought the finishing time forward to 3 p.m. as the forecast predicted rain at 4, but, as usual, it started ten minutes before the end of the match!
There were plenty of fish being caught right from the start, but it soon became clear that there was only going to be one winner. Paul was steadily catching big carp, while everyone else was finding smaller fish, and that pattern carried on for the rest of the match.
At the weigh-in, Paul put an outstanding 142 lbs 12 oz on the scales on his very first visit to the fishery. Paul and Craig also won the pairs with a total weight of 181 lbs 6 oz. Well done to the winners!
Eight anglers fished, producing a combined total of 383 lbs 4 oz. Thanks for a great turnout, and I’m looking forward to another good match there next week.

Sunday’s match at Swanton Morley. Today it was a nice, bright morning and quite windy. We weren’t sure how it was going to fish after the last match. The anglers on the low numbers had the wind behind them, while those on the high numbers had it blowing straight into their bank.
Everyone started on the tip. There were the odd bream being caught on the low numbers, but the high numbers were not getting any bites. The low numbers definitely seemed to be the better area with the wind behind you.
I didn’t have an indication in the first 45 minutes, so I thought I’d give the pole a try. I caught two perch straight away, but then I couldn’t get another bite, so I went back on the tip and had a bream. Andy was catching tench and bream, while David, who was next to me, was also catching bream. I went back on the pole and caught a tench and then a bream, along with a few roach and perch.
The low numbers fished better this week, and it was a close match for the top four. Well done to David Dicker on a brilliant win, mate, and my thanks to everyone for their support in the match.

The weather was overcast with a gentle breeze, and the temperature was around 14°C. Having had some rain overnight, It looked like it might fish a little slow – and that proved to be the case.
The lower-numbered pegs started very slowly, with everyone struggling for bites. The higher numbers fared a little better, finding some early bream on the tip, but overall it was a very difficult day. Apart from the top two weights, most of the catches were very close, and for many anglers just a single fish made up their net. Surprisingly, there were hardly any roach or perch caught.
My thanks go to all who fished – this was our best turnout so far this season, with 11 anglers taking part. The total weight caught was 78 lbs 15 oz.

9 anglers fishing the match this week which started off a bit slow, with quite a few fish lost due to foul-hooking. Some anglers were able to catch steadily, but midway through the match the fish seemed to switch off and stopped feeding. Later on, though, the margins produced bites and catches picked up again.
The total weight of fish caught was 401 lbs 11 oz.

Today’s fishing match at Swanton was held under much cooler conditions than recent weeks, which gave us hope for improved sport after the spell of hot weather. However, it turned out to be a challenging day on the bank.
A handful of bream were brought to the net, alongside some roach caught on the waggler, but overall, the action was slow. The odd bream appeared throughout the match, with a few roach, rudd, and perch showing—but certainly fewer than last week.
It was great to welcome David Dicker back on the bank following his recent operation. Many thanks to everyone for your continued support; it was wonderful to see such a good turnout for today’s match.

The conditions were overcast but quite pleasant as not as hot as it had been over previous matches so hopes of a few bites were high. Most started with feeder tactics with bream and tench getting caught. Alternative pole tactics produced a mixed bag of over 200 roach, rudd, perch and bream.
